Established in 1793 by Mr John K King, Kings has always been at the forefront of speciality seed production in the UK. It was in 1805 that Kings received its first Royal Warrant as 'Seedsmen' to His Majesty the Prince of Wales.
John K King & Sons Ltd continued to build their business in the production of plant seeds for agriculturists and horticulturists for many years. It was in 1996 that the company was purchased by Associated British Foods plc (ABF). ABF seized the opportunity to turn Kings into one of Europe's leading high value phytochemical supply chain management companies.

When Allied Grain and Banks Cargill merged to form Frontier Agriculture in April 2005, they created an independent company with significantly enhanced resources - and national and international influence.
Since the merger, we have worked tirelessly to bring new ideas and business solutions to our customers and to provide real supply chain benefits only available through Frontier.
Our sister company, Kings Game Cover and Conservation Crops business, provides an extensive range of products and services throughout the UK and Europe.
The above further enables Kings Speciality Crops, as a division of Frontier, to access new and exciting opportunities for speciality crops.
